DON KNAPP started his television career in 1964 at WBNS, Ohio as a reporter, shooter, writer, editor, film processor, all while attending Ohio State University Journalism Graduate School part time. Since his 1969 move to San Francisco, he has worked at KPIX (twice), KTVU, KRON, KGO, and CNN as S.F. Bureau network correspondent. He has covered major stories all around the world including: the Iraqi refugee crisis following Desert Storm; Yellowstone forest fires; San Francisco�s Loma Prieta earthquake; the O. J. Simpson trial; and the Columbine school shootings, to name but a few. His work has been recognized with Emmy®, RTNDA, ACE, and SF Press Club awards, including a lifetime achievement honor from the Society of Professional Journalists
